Specifies the minimum information that is to be included in the specification sheets of printers so that users may compare the characteristics of different machines and select a printer which meets their requirements. It applies to printers that could be operated in an office environment. Printers requiring specially equipped rooms or specially instructed operators are not within the scope of this part of ISO/IEC 11160. Covers different classes of printers. This part covers Class 1 and Class 2 printers, as defined in annex A.
