FCIA members,
We received news from Alex Hauser this morning that long time FCIA member Jay Neer passed away last week. Jay was a great advocate of the association in promoting Fibre Channel and a good friend. He will be missed.

I email you with sadness to share that Jay Neer passed away Wednesday, October 6th. Jay was an important player in many standards organizations, but he was particularly fond of SFF. His contributions to this organization have spanned decades and
countless specifications. Jay was a hobbyist birder, an after-dinner-ice cream enthusiast, and an avid traveler, thanks largely to his loving wife Gail who was always busy planning their next adventure. Please join me in remembering the good times weâve shared
with him over the years and in sending our condolences to Gail.
