FCIA and T-11 Members,

As you know the current 128Gb Fibre Channel MRD calls for 112.2Gbps signaling speed. The FCIA Board of directors recently received a proposal to change the speed to 106.25Gbps and as with any speed increase the board garners input from the Fibre Channel community at large before making such a recommendation for change to T-11.

We have scheduled a virtual Town hall meeting for October 27th beginning at noon pacific to hear presentations either to keep the signaling speed at 112.2Gbps or change it to 106.25Gbps.  If you are interested in presenting please submit your presentation title by Monday October 19th 5:00 pacific to office@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx . Your presentation should be the approximately ten to twelve minutes in length with a short time of Q&A afterwards.

This will be a moderated Zoom Webcast so all who want to attend can. We will be sending an e-card to the first fifty people who sign up to attend the town hall so you can have a snack while watching the presentations. A link to sign up will be sent out later this week.

Chris Lyon
